(800) 977-3002 Diamond Respiratory Care is pleased to announce that we have been selected as a winner in the Medicare Competitive Bidding Program. This program will drastically affect the way equipment is distributed to patients. Below is a brief description of the program and how it affects your patients. Beginning January 1, 2011 CMS / Medicare will require that all orders for certain medical equipment be referred to suppliers who were awarded a contract under the Competitive Bidding program. Providers who did not win a contract will no longer be able to accept new patients. This program affects virtually all Medicare patients who reside in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Therefore, if you treat patients in these counties this program will apply to you. The table on the right shows the categories of products that are included in the program. As you can see, it includes all of the most commonly prescribed items. Diamond won contracts for all categories, and can remain your “one stop shop” for home care equipment. There’s no reason to wait! You can begin referring patients to Diamond now in order to avoid service issues that could result if your patients are receiving equipment from a non-contracted supplier.
