Did You Know?
Diamond Respiratory Care was featured in a 2008 NBC Nightly News special about the Medicare Competitive Bidding Program.
About the Swan
The bird in our logo is an artist’s rendition of a swan gazing into water. We adopted the story of the “Ugly Duckling” based on its correlation to our work of adapting technology to people with disabilities. We’ve seen countless times how people react to the problem they face by closing themselves off as to not be a burden to their family.
Every day our staff takes people in this position and helps them to regain their independence. Just like the duckling becoming a swan these folks gain confidence and the will to be part of their family and community.
The swan reminds our staff how important the devices we deliver are to the person receiving them, and the difference we make in peoples lives 24 hours a day. In short, we restore independence.
The 2005 Anniversary Swan
In 2005, to mark our 10th anniversary of serving Southern California a local artist was commissioned to create a work for the occasion. The finished piece is a wall sized, two hundred pound rendition of our swan cut into hot rolled steel mounted atop a sheet of cold rolled steel.
This work is proudly hung in the lobby of our corporate headquarters. It greets everyone who enters and stands as a symbolic reminder to all of our commitment to restoring independence.
Who works at diamond?
We pride ourselves on bringing the best and brightest people to our industry. We take these individuals and put them through a relentless, ongoing, training program. It takes a passionate and dedicated person to make it through our program.
Not everyone can handle the rigors of our training or the vast amount of information that must be mastered. That’s why when you meet a Diamond employee you’ll be impressed with their understanding of your problem and the solutions available for it. We live, eat and breath our motto of restoring your independence.
