If you have co-insurance (Medicare supplement) they will generally cover the portion of your bill that Medicare does not pay. Medicare will cover the first 80% of your bill and the balance is forwarded to your co-insurance company. We submit claims to Medicare electronically. If your secondary insurance is on file with Medicare the balance is automatically forwarded to them. If you receive a bill from us, and you have a secondary insurance, it did not “cross-over” electronically. To process the claim through we will need a copy of your insurance card. |
