The standard “2lpm” does not always provide adequate oxygenation once the patient ambulates.
When ordered, our respiratory therapists will titrate your patient on their portable oxygen system. This is an exertion test to determine the patients actual ambulatory oxygen needs. We’ll return the evaluation to you with suggested settings. Upon your order we will re-instruct the patient of any changes in their therapy. |
