If you would like to take your chair with you, to the mall, casino, or anywhere you have two basic options: There are both power chairs and scooters that are designed to come apart very easily and fit into an average size car trunk. These chairs break down to only three or four components and can be assembled by most people in about a minute. The other option is to attach a “chair lift” to the back of your car or truck. These lifts are designed to fit into a standard trailer hitch. They are powered from either a vehicle battery or their own power supply. If connected to the vehicle the lift can charge your chair while you drive. When you’re ready to load or unload your chair you simply unlatch it and press a button.
