Medi-Cal The Medi-Cal prescribing guidelines are similar to Medicare’s. You will need to evaluate the patient based on their mobility needs and limitations. The exam, and any limitations should be noted in the patients chart. Medi-Cal uses a Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN) to document the need for power mobility. Upon ordering, we will send this form to you for completion. Once medical necessity is established and the chair is prescribed, it’s sent to Medi-Cal’s TAR office for approval. The TAR process takes around 30 days. Once the approved TAR is returned to us (electronically) we arrange for immediate delivery. |
