| Preventing Pressure Sores |

Pressure wounds can be life threatening. A poorly fitted power chair seat can cause metal parts to push against the patient, creating pressure points. In our evaluation we will fit and test your patient in an appropriately sized chair. We then make any modifications necessary. Pressure reducing cushions can be added to any chair, and we highly recommend them for most patients. We recommend pressure reducing (gel) cushions for most patients. |
