SNF and Medicare Competitive Bidding
SNF
Skilled nursing facilities will encounter this program in two areas – discharges and enteral nutrition.

Discharges
Patients being discharged from your facility who require home medical equipment are subject to this program. Referrals for those items must be sent to a contracted supplier.
Diamond’s services all of Southern California, and was awarded contracts for all the items your patients may require.


Enteral Nutrition
Some patients in your facility may use enteral nutrition (tube feeding) products. This products may be billed to their Medicare Part B benefits through an outside provider. Once the new program begins (1/1/11) a contracted supplier must provide these items.
