CGM

A continuous glucose monitor sits on your skin and reads glucose through the day and night. We ship the system your doctor ordered across Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Los Angeles, and San Diego counties — or you're welcome to pick it up in Riverside — just call first and we'll let you know when it's ready.

Will insurance cover it?

Medicare and many plans cover a CGM when your doctor's order meets your plan's rules. We request that order, check your specific plan, and tell you what's covered before anything ships. Nothing here is a guarantee.

How fast can I get it?

These are small supplies. We usually ship them, or you're welcome to pick them up in Riverside — just call first and we'll let you know when it's ready. If we're already delivering other equipment to your home, the CGM can ride along on that delivery. We'll share a timeline once we have your doctor's order.

What will I owe?

We tell you before it ships, not after. If there's a copay or a deductible on the sensors, the transmitter, or a reader, you'll hear it from us on the phone first.

What we carry

A CGM is a system, not one piece. Sensors go on your skin. A transmitter sends the reading to a reader, or to an app on your phone if that system uses one.

You get the brand your doctor wrote on the order — if we carry it. If we cannot fill that brand, we will tell you. We will not swap in a different system from this page. We do not pick the brand for you.

The first box has what you need to start. After that, sensors and transmitters are replaced on a schedule your brand uses. Call us when you need more.

If your order includes a reader, it comes in the box. If your system uses your phone, have that phone ready when the box arrives.

We confirm what we can fill before anything ships.

Do I own or rent this equipment?

Plans do not all treat a CGM the same way. We check yours and tell you before it ships.

This is not a long rental like a bed or a compressor. Sensors and transmitters are purchased and replaced on a schedule your brand uses. If your system needs a separate reader, that is usually purchased too.

Some plans bill this as DME through us. Some send you to a pharmacy instead. We check and tell you. If your plan will not fill this through DME, we will say so.

The supplies are not a rental either way. When you need the next sensors, call us. We will not put a day-count on this page. Your brand's insert has the replacement schedule.

What you'll pay. You're responsible for any copay or deductible your plan doesn't cover. We tell you that on the phone first.

We are not your endocrinologist. Dosing and glucose treatment stay with your doctor. Nothing here is a guarantee.

What to expect at delivery & setup

These are small supplies. Most orders ship to you. Delivery is not a home visit. A respiratory therapist will not come to your house to put a sensor on.

Pickup is available at 1403 Palmyrita Ave, Riverside, during business hours — just call (800) 977-3002 first and we'll let you know when it's ready.

The box has the system your doctor ordered and the insert that belongs to that brand. Follow that insert. We do not invent storage or wear rules here.

If you want someone to walk you through the first sensor after it arrives, call us during office hours. We can do that on the phone. Dosing stays with your doctor. We are not your endocrinologist.

When it arrives

Follow the insert in the box for storage — including the fridge if your brand asks for it. Clean the skin where the sensor goes, the way the insert shows. If your system uses an app, have your phone charged and nearby. If you're picking up, just call first — we'll let you know when your order is ready.

A pairing problem or a sensor that will not stay on is equipment. A decision about insulin or food is your doctor's. We are not your endocrinologist. We do not set your targets and we do not tell you what to do with a number. Do not wait on a chat. Call us.

Common questions about CGM

What is a CGM?

A continuous glucose monitor is a small sensor on your skin that reads glucose through the day and night. Readings go to a reader or to an app on your phone, depending on the system your doctor ordered.

Do I need a prescription for a CGM?

Yes. A CGM is prescribed by your doctor. If you don't have an order yet, call us at (800) 977-3002 and we'll request it from your doctor's office.

How quickly can I get a CGM?

We usually ship these, or you're welcome to pick them up in Riverside — just call first and we'll let you know when it's ready. If we're already delivering other equipment to your home, the CGM can ride along. We'll share a timeline once we have your doctor's order.

Will Medicare pay for it?

Medicare and many plans cover a CGM when your doctor's order meets your plan's rules. That's what we request from your doctor's office. If there's any issue with your coverage, our team will be in touch. Nothing here is a guarantee.

Do I own the CGM or rent it?

Sensors and transmitters are purchased and replaced on a schedule your brand uses. A reader, if you need one, is usually purchased too. This is not a long rental. Some plans bill it as DME through us; some send you to a pharmacy. We check and tell you. Supplies are ordered by calling us. See “Do I own or rent this equipment?” above.

Dexcom or FreeStyle Libre — which brand do I get?

We fill the system your doctor ordered if we carry it. We don't pick the brand. If we cannot fill that brand, we will tell you.

Does it use my phone or a reader?

It depends on the system on your order. Some use an app on your phone. Some come with a reader. We'll confirm what you're getting before it ships. Have your phone ready if your system uses an app.

Can I travel with it?

Yes. People fly with a CGM. Airlines and TSA treat medical devices as medical devices. Pack extra sensors in your carry-on and take this number: (800) 977-3002. Follow the insert in your box for heat and storage. Call the airline if you're flying.

The sensor won't stick, or it won't read. What do I do?

Call us for the equipment. If a sensor will not stay on, will not pair, or the app will not read, call (800) 977-3002 during office hours. Call your doctor for any decision about your glucose. We are not your endocrinologist.
